Linda's Story
My life after Glendale High has been an interesting journey.
I have always had a passion for the unusual and exotic, so when I attended college I was immediately attracted to the study of Cultural Anthropology. I was able to do some foreign study programs in Nayarit and Oaxaca, Mexico. After graduating with a Masters Degree in Anthropology, I took a job as a corporate trainer in the banking industry- a temporary move while I looked for a college teaching position. But I found I loved training, this was my perfect career. In 1984 I returned to higher education, taking a position at UCLA as a management development consultant for University staff. I have been at the University ever since, as a Management Trainer...Expand for more
, Program Manager, and currently Training Manager. I also do independent consulting for business, health care, and higher education.
I still live in Glendale but on the Hoover side. My husband also works at UCLA and we have a really wonderful daughter Rachel. We adore our grandson Kyle who is turning into quite the techie.
My passion for exotic places has not diminished. My fondest memories include a three-week trek through New Zealand, exploring Fiji by car, snorkeling in Bora Bora lagoon, and walking on the Great Wall of China. Hope to see Patagonia again, but next time Torres del Paine and then Machu Picchu.
Would love to connect with some of my high school friends. Maybe I can make the next reunion.
